FAQ
The straight answers.
How the content gets made, how creator permission works, and what you can do with what you create.
- What is foql?
- foql connects brands with real creators to make AI-generated product photos and videos. The content features participating creators’ likenesses alongside your products, for use in your marketing.
- Are the creators real people?
- Yes. The people are real. The photos and videos are AI-generated using their likeness, with their permission, and every creator sets the scope of what they will appear in.
- Can a creator say a line?
- Yes, if they have recorded a voice sample. Add a script to a casting or a booking and the clip is spoken in the creator’s own voice. Castings with a script only go to creators who have a voice on file and have allowed it. Leave the script empty and the clip is silent.
- How do I find creators?
- Two ways. Browse creators and book one directly, or post a casting with your product and your offer and let the creators who want the job apply. Everyone who applies sends back a preview made with your actual product, so you choose from the work rather than from a portfolio.
- Do I need to ship products?
- No. You provide product images instead of sending samples out for a shoot.
- Will the creator post the content?
- Only if you buy that. Creator posting is a separate part of a partnership, priced and agreed up front. A content collaboration doesn’t automatically include a post to the creator’s audience, so check your campaign’s deliverables for what’s included.
- Where can I use the content?
- Your campaign’s usage terms decide where and for how long you can use each asset. Specify the channels you need, including paid ads, your website, and your brand social accounts. Every licence is recorded and can be checked.
- Is this a product review?
- No. AI-generated content can show a creator with your product. It doesn’t, by itself, mean that creator has used or reviewed it, and it shouldn’t be presented as a firsthand review or a customer testimonial.
- What does it cost?
- One price per finished video, from $65 to $80 depending on how many you buy, with the rights included for 24 months. Each winning creator is paid $40 of that, published before they enter. Nothing is charged until you publish a casting. See pricing.
- What do I need to get started?
- Your product images and a direction for the content. Think about the audience, the setting, and where you want to use the finished assets.
