Biometric information notice and consent

This notice is shown on its own screen in the Foql app before you build your likeness kit. It is separate from the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy on purpose: some laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, require that consent to collect biometric identifiers be given separately and in writing. Consenting here is that written consent. Declining means you can still use the app to browse, but you cannot be listed as a creator.

What is collected

Your reference images: the photos of yourself you add to your kit, and the voice sample if you record one.
A face-match score: a number describing how closely your kit's front image matches your verified identity photo, computed when identity verification runs.

Face geometry may be derived from your reference images and identity photo in order to compute that score and to generate the clips you approve.

Why

To confirm that the likeness on your account is yours and that you are over 18.
To generate the content you audition with and approve, for the brands you choose, within the consent scope you set.
To prevent misuse: only a verified creator's own likeness can be used on Foql.

What is kept, and for how long

We store the verification result, the numeric match score and our identity provider's reference ID. We do not store facial templates or embeddings.
Biometric identifiers processed for verification are destroyed by us and our provider within 30 days of verification, or sooner when the purpose is satisfied, and in no case later than one year after your last interaction.
Match scores are deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Reference images are purged within 30 days of account deletion or kit removal.

What we never do

Sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from your biometric data.
Share your reference images or identity data with brands.
Use your reference images or identity data to train AI models.

Your choices

You may decline. You may withdraw consent later by deleting your kit or your account; licenses already issued run to their term.
Re-verification, every twelve months or after a sensitive change, repeats this process under the same terms and asks again.
